Booking Terms & Conditions
Just as you have certain expectations for your stay, so do we and the following terms are important when you stay at The Islander Noosa Resort. Booking with us will indicate your acceptance of these terms & conditions. Please read carefully.
Deposit / Final Payment of Balance
A deposit of at least the the first night or 50% (or for some specials 100%) is due when booking. Balances may be due 30 days before arrival.
Cancellation / No Show
Payment(s) are non-refundable should a guest cancel or amend a booking within 30 days of stay. We recommend guests take travel insurance.
COVID Cancel Policy – Applies for bookings made direct with the resort and not through a 3rd party agent. In this case, should a cancellation result because of COVID-19 government regulations / bans that restrict and prevent travel as at the date of arrival, then the standard cancellation policy will be reviewed and assuming timely notice to the resort, we will hold the payment for re-booking a stay within 12 months, subject to availability and tariff applicable when re-booking. Note, this does not cover situations where a guest declines by choice for whatever reason to not travel nor when a guest is in house.
A $200 pre-authorisation on a credit card is taken at check-in (we do not accept cash bonds). This is a standard in most accommodation but importantly, a condition to stay in our resort. It does not mean we don’t appreciate you as a guest, however it does mean that because of previous incidents we now ask for this security equally from all guests. It is NOT a ‘purchase’ but this action holds $200 until we release and you will see it released from your credit limit.
The pre-authorisation, as it is a hold, is released after Housekeeping audit the villa. The pre-authorisation, once released in our system may take time depending on your Bank. Credit Unions are usually slower and we can speed this by emailing your Bank if you provide an email address for your Bank.
The pre-authorisation or bond covers situations; such as, but not limited to the following, and at the discretion of the Manager:
- Partying, loud noise and behaviour that shows little respect for other guests and resort property. There is a $60 call-out for the Security Guard or Duty Manager for each incident and we will act to evict with no refund at our discretion.
- Accidental or willful damages.
- Failure to remove your rubbish when vacating the villa – this will incur a one-off fee of $35.
- Smoking in the villa or non-smoking areas where a fee to clean and fumigate the area will be charged, particularly since legislation prohibits smoking in certain areas.
Please note – when you give a pre-authorisation you are accepting responsibility for and approving payment for any of these events or for others in your group that cause these events or contravene our Resort By-Laws. The claim is not limited to the $200 pre-authorisation but as incurred to make good any damages, costs caused by the guest.
Late Check-in. For late check-in after 6pm please contact the resort. There is a fee after 9pm.
Villa Keys Lost or Not Returned
It is a guests’ responsibility to care for our keys. Should villa key(s) not be returned at checkout a $600 pre-authorisation will be taken to cover the cost to re-key the villa. The cost depends on the number of lock barrels to rekey (rather than just cutting a new key). The wooden key tiki and proximity cards are also charged to replace.
We need your help to keep our tariffs affordable. Excess clean times over 2.0 hours for a 2 bedroom villa and 2.5 hours for a 3 bedroom villa will be charged at $50 / hour. For hygiene and minimising risk to staff, guests are to remove rubbish when vacating the villa or be charged a fee of $35 in addition to any excess clean times charged.
For tariff and safety purposes, we appreciate guests’ honesty declaring the number of guests staying. We permit 4 guests including children or babies in a 2 bedroom villa and 6 including children or babies in 3 bedroom villa. There may be a few occasions where we consent to 5 in a 2 bedroom villa and 7 in a 3 bedroom villa and accordingly charge a fee for the additional guest and this is at our absolute discretion. If more than the agreed number of guests attempt to stay in a villa we reserve the right to charge for the additional guest(s) and /or terminate the stay with no refund. For hygiene reasons guests are not welcome to bring their own bedding.
There is a limit of the number of visitors at any one time please ask us.
Our By-Laws stipulate quiet enjoyment at all times, particularly between 10pm and 7am. After 10pm we ask guests to respect other guests, reduce loud talk, and partying. If you are contemplating booking this resort to hold a party or celebrate an occasion where you suspect there may be unsuitable behaviour and noise you are not welcome. This resort does not tolerate disorderly behaviour and we will call Security and the Police.
Guests Over 18
Guests must all be over 18 years unless they are travelling/ staying with a legal guardian or parent and the definition we apply is as per the Queensland Liquor Act 1992. Therefore, school leaver celebrations are unable to be booked at this resort and we advise that entry will be refused and any payment forfeited. This resort is not equipped to look after school leavers.
No animals are allowed on the premises. Guests will be evicted charged and an excess clean charged at a minimum of $300.
Guests are important to us and we try to meet our guests’ requests. While requests for villa location and style or specific villa numbers are welcome, regretfully the resort is not able to guarantee requests.
We look forward to welcoming you at The Islander Noosa Resort and making your holiday enjoyable and relaxing.
