Booking Terms & Conditions

Dear Guest

Just as you have expectations for your stay, so do we and the following terms are important when you stay at The Islander Noosa Resort. Booking with us will indicate your acceptance of these. Please read carefully.

Deposit / Final Payment of Balance

A deposit of 50% or up to $500, whichever is the greater, is due when booking. Please note, final payment is required 30 days before arrival or full payment is due when booking if you are arriving within 30 days.

Cancellation / No Show Policy

Payment(s) are non-refundable or changeable should a guest cancel or amend a booking within 30 days of stay. There is a fee to cancel as advised on the guest’s confirmation email. We recommend guests take travel insurance.

Late Check-in: For late check-in after 6pm please contact the resort. There is a fee for arrivals after 9pm.

Pre-authorisation

A $200 pre-authorisation on a credit card is taken at check-in. Please note the physical credit card must be present and a pin used (we do not accept cash bonds).  This is a standard in most accommodation but importantly a condition to stay in our resort.  It does not mean we don’t appreciate you as a guest, however it does mean that because of previous incidents we now ask for this security equally from all guests. It is NOT a ‘purchase’ but this action holds $200 against your credit limit until we release the hold.

The pre-authorisation is released after Housekeeping audit the villa. The pre-authorisation, once released in our system may take time depending on your Bank.  We can speed this by emailing your Bank if you provide an email for your Bank.

The pre-authorisation or bond covers such situations as, but is not limited to and at the discretion of the Manager:

  • Partying, loud noise and behaviour that shows little respect for other guests and resort property. There is a $60 call-out for the Security Guard or Duty Manager for each incident and we will act to evict with no refund at our discretion.
  • Failure to remove your rubbish when vacating the villa – this will incur a one-off fee of $35.
  • Smoking in the villa or non-smoking areas where a fee to clean and fumigate the area will be charged, particularly since legislation prohibits smoking in certain areas.
  • Please do not sit on leather lounges with suntan oils and creams as these discolour the leather. A $350 professional leather clean will be charged.
  • Accidental or wilful damages.
  • The air conditioner in your villa is provided for your comfort. We ask that you conserve energy by closing windows and doors and not running the dryer while the A/C is on and turning the A/C off when absent from your villa. 23 degrees is the optimal setting for heating in winter and cooling in summer. Please note – if the air conditioner is sent more than 2 degrees above or below 23 degrees then it may cease to operate and require repair – this will be charged to the guest as will any water leak onto bedding or carpet areas.

Please note – when you give a pre-authorisation you are accepting responsibility for and approving payment for any of these events or for others in your group that cause these events or contravene our Resort By-Laws.  The claim is not limited to the $200 pre-authorisation but as incurred to make good any damages, costs caused by the guest.

Villa Keys Lost or Not Returned

It is a guests’ responsibility to care for our keys. Should villa key(s) not be returned at checkout an additional $500 pre-authorisation will be taken to cover the cost to re-key the villa.  The cost depends on the number of lock barrels to rekey (rather than just cutting a new key).  The wooden tiki and proximity cards are also charged if not returned.

Housekeeping

We need your help to keep our tariffs affordable.

Excess clean times over 2.0 hours for a 2-bedroom villa and 2.5 hours for a 3-bedroom villa will be charged at $50 / hour. For hygiene and minimising risk to staff, guests are to remove rubbish when vacating the villa or be charged a fee of $35 in addition to any excess clean times charged.

Guest Capacity

For tariff and safety purposes, we appreciate guests’ honesty declaring the number of guests staying.  We permit 4 guests including children in a 2-bedroom villa and 6 including children in 3-bedroom villa.  There may be a few occasions where we consent to 5 in a 2-bedroom villa and 7 in a 3-bedroom villa and accordingly charge a fee for the additional guest and this is at our absolute discretion.  If more than the agreed number of guests attempt to stay in a villa, we reserve the right to charge for the additional guest(s) and /or terminate the stay with no refund. For hygiene reasons guests are not welcome to bring their own bedding.

Guests’ Visitors – There is a limit of the number of visitors at any one time please ask us. Visitors cannot park on resort grounds. As the resort is secured, guests are responsible for greeting their visitors and letting them into or out of the Resort at one of the pedestrian gates.

Noise

Our By-Laws stipulate quiet enjoyment at all times, particularly between 10pm and 7am.  After 10pm we ask guests to respect other guests, reduce loud talk, and partying.  If you are contemplating booking this resort to hold a party or celebrate an occasion where you suspect there may be unsuitable behaviour and noise you are not welcome. This resort does not tolerate disorderly behaviour and we will call Security and the Police.

Parking on Resort Grounds

Each villa has one designated undercover car space. Additional vehicles are to be parked in the streets surrounding the resort.

Guests Over 18

Guests must all be over 18 years unless they are travelling with a legal guardian or parent and the definition we apply is as per the Queensland Liquor Act 1992. School leaver celebrations are unable to be booked at this resort and we advise that entry will be refused, and any payment forfeited.

Animals

No animals are allowed on the premises, subject to legislation regarding registered assistance animals. Guests could face eviction. All animals brought on premises will incur an excess clean and pest treatment charged at a minimum of $350.

Guest Requests

Guests are important to us and we try to meet our guests’ requests.  While requests for villa location and style or specific villa numbers are welcome, regretfully the resort is not able to guarantee requests.

 Welcome,

We look forward to welcoming you at The Islander Noosa Resort and making your holiday enjoyable and relaxing
